Horse Back Riding

We went horse back riding back in November with Clint and TaNelle Allen and their kids at Clint's parents house in Rigby, ID. It was so much fun I couldn't not post about it! Chad and I hadn't gone horse back riding since we were kids so we were a little nervous especially since these horses were huge! But it ended up being a sweet trip and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it!

Chadder-bud and "Tiny".

Look at the excitement on that little face! No fear whatsoever!

There was a puppy that wanted to follow us on the ride we were on and we were worried it might get trampled by the horses so Clint picked it up and had Kaeson hold it for the ride. He was on cloud 9. He was hoping he could take that puppy home after-Ella was hoping the same thing! It was a pretty cute puppy but it was not coming home with either of us. :)

Little buddies.

The horse trailer loaded up and ready to take to the place we were going to ride.

Here's the horse they call "Tiny". As you can tell it is anything but. Chad and I didn't actually ride together but we wanted to take a pic on a horse together.

and of course had to add the whole fam...

All mounted up and looking real cool!

TaNelle and the horse riding pro Kaeson!

We gave Jack an apple at the beginning of the trip and he ate that thing for the entire ride not even trying to hold on at all, just lovin' life and munchin away.

Here's the she-beast "Big Mama" that they had me ride at first. This horse was much shorter than the others because she was a cross between some smaller horses and they thought since I am pregnant it would prob be safer in case I fell off-less distance to fall :) Well anyway she hated me! She wanted to be doing pretty much anything else but having a rider on her. She kept trying to shake her head and go off and do her own thing and me being a novice rider I was a bit nervous on her. So they had TaNelle trade horses with me yet she was still giving TaNelle a hard time as well. Finally Clint got on her which looked hilarious because she is pretty small and he's a big guy but he showed her who was boss! That girl's got attitude haha or maybe she just knew who she could push around.

Afterward, the boys took the kids on some short 4-wheeler rides around Clint's parent's land. The kids were in heaven!

Don't let the size of Kaeson fool you, he can drive one of these beasts on his own pretty well! It was crazy!

Clint's parents have a little buggy that can be hooked up to his horses that he let the kids get into and he was running them around with pure man power- quite the workout. They were pretty impressed though!

We had so much fun that day! Thanks again Allen's for taking us with you! It was a blast!

The Verdict is OUT...

For all of you who knew i was pregnant and for those who didn't we found out today what we are having! Drum roll please....

And of course here's the proof! He was not shy!

His little foot.

The arm and hand, I think he was waving. :)

Sweet little profile.

Then he gave us a kiss goodbye!

It was quite the fun experience to have Jack and Ella in there with us to experience this as well. They both seemed pretty happy, especially considering ever since Ella found out I was pregnant she did not believe it was possible for me to have anything else other than a girl, because she NEEDED a baby sister. All in all though she was pretty happy about the results. Jack, I think is going to have the biggest adjustment in this whole experience because he is such a MAMA's BOY! He does not let Ella touch me if he is on my lap or near me. He will even try to fend off Chad when he comes in to give me a hug or something. SO this will be an rude awakening for him when Baby boy number 3 arrives! I hope that because it's a boy he'll enjoy it because then he'll have someone to rough house with and all those other fun boy activities... eventually. :)
We're super excited though and now we are on the hunt for good names! If anyone has one that they'd like to share, we are very open to suggestions! Boy names are hard to come up with, at least that's how Chad and I feel!

Family Pictures

My friend Melinda Page was so sweet and offered to take some family pics for us one Sunday in Oct. after church cause for some reason we all somewhat matched that day so it seemed like a good time to take some, especially with the pretty fall leaves in the background. She did a good job especially with my camera that kept dying. Thanks again for taking them "Bewinda" as my kids call her! You rock!

Our Boise Buddies

The weekend before we went to Kemmerer we went to Boise and spent sometime with the fam there. The boys got to do some fishing, which ended up being not as successful as they would have hoped. Poor Chad ended up forgetting his fly fishing pole at the spot they went to which really put a damper on the experience because it was no where to be found when we went back to look for it! Quite the bummer. I got an idea for a Christmas present now :)

Eating some treats with Grandpa.

Cheesin it up for the camera.

Cody and Ella jumpin' on the "jump-o-line" as Ella calls it, which I think is a much more fitting title than trampoline. :)
(Can you believe that this was only the weekend before we went to Kemmerer and such a huge difference in weather!)

The bouncing butterfly.

Jack Jack found Uncle Cody's bb gun and thought he was really cool. (Don't worry it was not loaded :) )

Uncle Tyler has become a killer fisherman lately and brought home some yummy trout for us to eat for dinner. It was quite a feast!

Thanks Lamb family for letting us come visit you! Had good times as usual!

Kemmerer fun with the fam!

A couple weeks ago we headed up to Kemmerer to visit the Henkel fam. It was good times, plus we got to see Auntie Angie cause she was sweet enough to make the trip up from Utah to spend some time with us up there as well. She was super awesome and gave me and Ella a pedicure! It was amazing! Of course while we were there it snowed and we had to build a mini snowman and make snow angels and such.

Gotta love icicles. Even though winter in Rexburg is truly not my favorite I do love some of the pretty things about it.

Our little man shovelin' the snow.

The best little mini snowman you ever did see!

Don't mind Ella's awkward face, she of course didn't want to take the picture anymore.
Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Henkel for letting us come visit you!
