Memorial Day Weekend!

This past weekend our friends Maria and Allister Sewell and their 2 boys came down from selling in Dallas to see us! We had some really great times hanging out, going to the beach and the boardwalk!

Mason Sewell is only a month older than Ella and they had a lot of fun playing together! We put these baby sunglasses on them and both of them were trying to rip them off right away...so we had to hold their hands down to take this picture!

Ella did think it was pretty cool at first but after a minute she was ready to pull them off!

She did look really cute in those little sunglasses though.

Later that day we went to the beach in Galveston and had a blast.

Ella absolutely loved it there! The water was so warm and it was a pretty nice day just a bit windy!

Ella decided she was in charge and wanted to be very adventurous and curious while we were there. She did NOT want me to pick her up or hold her hand to walk her around as you can tell from the picture!

Ella was on a mission running around investigating everything!

She tripped and plopped down in the wet sand and then she was in heaven.

She loved sloppin around in the muddiness.

Having a great old time until...

she scooped up a mouthful of sand and seawater!

She was not too keen on the taste!

After awhile she got over the bad taste and started having fun again!

She thought it was awesome when the water would come up on her legs!

Daddy was trying to keep her from running away...

but as you can see, she was always on the run!

Then as she was trying to get away from us a wave came up and made her a bit unsteady... and this was the moment right before she was swept off her feet!

Though it startled her and me at first, i grabbed her quick and she was refreshed with the quick saltwater bath that she got! She was covered in so much sand and it was so fine that it just stuck to her! The worst part was that her ears were just filled with sand!

This was Ella's face of, "Mom stop trying to take pictures with me I gotta play!"

As soon as we took her onesie off she was all about trying to take her diaper off.

Then she made a friend as she watched this little girl dig a big hole in the sand.

Having fun in the sun.

This is Maria and her son Mason Sewell.

Snuggling Ella up and getting her dried off.

Ella and Daddy.

Ok so it's caught on camera...Ella snuggling! Those of you who know her know that she isn't the most cuddly baby but every once in awhile she'll give us a little snuggle!

The next day we went to Kemah, where there's a boardwalk with some carnival type rides.

Ella loved the merri-go-round !

Chad did too! :)

Here's the Sewell family...(not the best pic to show all of them but it was the only one we had with all of them in it!)

Then we went up to the restaurant there but it was closed. Ella loved this huge stuffed bear there though but she didn't want to get too close to it...

Chad would try to put her closer so that she could touch it but she would back her body as far away as she could! She wanted to be close but not too close!

Our weekend was a lot of fun! We miss you Sewells!

Sweet little Ella bella!

As you can see Ella is still in love with her big pink bunny. She has also come to have a new love for the show Sesame Street! It's so funny because she just becomes so enthralled with it! It's the only cartoon/kid show that she will watch the entire thing without even getting up and moving around! It's so funny/cute.

A few weeks ago i took Ella outside to play and i let her explore and get dirty! She absolutely LOVED it!

She was so curious and just wanting to put every rock and leaf in her mouth!

Having a ball!

Deciding what to get into next!

You can see the dirt around her mouth from sampling the goods of nature around her!

These pictures were taken on Mother's day! Ella is such a little doll and I am so glad that I could be blessed to be her mother!

Caught her by surprise...she's such a little ham!

Ok, how can you not just fall in love with that precious little angel face!

She's just so darn adorable!

This is when Ella turned into an Oompa Loompa!

Boy did she love smearing that chili-mac all over herself!

Good times!

Our fam took a little trip to Galveston about 30ish minutes away and went to the beach a couple of weeks ago. We had a fun time seeing some of the sights of Texas.

El and Daddy.

As you can see, Ella has become "Miss Independent" and she had a ton of fun feeding herself yogurt!

Disclaimer: Don't mind her hair again...i had her hair in a little rubber band and i pulled it out because it was falling out after she had tried yanking it out.

I think she poured some on her tummy and it was pretty cold.

She is just so animated with her facial expressions that I just can't get enough pictures of them!

Ella and Daddy love playing together. Look at her staring at her daddy so adoringly!

More of the catch up series!

As most of you all know we moved to Houston Texas around two weeks ago for Chad's summer sales job with Preventive Pest Control. So far Texas has been treatin us right but as for the humidity we could do without out it! The sad thing is it will only get worse!

This was taken while we were packing up our things to move and as the cruel parents we are we thought it would be funny to tape Ella's arms down!

At first she thought it was pretty funny then she was trying to bust out, no worries though we let her free! Even though sometimes it would be nice to just tape her up and keep her in one place for a little while! Ha :)

It was a sad day when I had to say my goodbye's to all my friends especially my buddy Hayley Redder.

Ella sure misses her little bud Jake that she kinda bullied on accident just because she's older and more mobile. Sorry Jakers! p.s. Don't mind Ella's crazy hair...she's going through this awkward hair stage and truly i am at a loss of what to do with it...and this is pretty much how it looks after taking a bath and just letting it air dry. If only she would grow more hair on the sides of her head then it wouldn't look so reverse mullet-ish!

Ella and I were able to go visit my family before going down to Texas and it was a good time...
we also had fun at the park while we were there.

My brother Tyler was having a blast with Ella on the playground.

My mom was having a great time as well...she took Ella on this slide and I think it surprised her how steep and fast it was.

Ella would always look scared as she would go down the slide but at the bottom she would be grinning from ear to ear!

Swings were her favorite.

Good ol' mom and dad lookin cute as always.

Grandpa Lamb helping Ella rock out on this rocking toy.

Discovering wood chips...

Tasting them...doesn't really like them but...

keeps on chewin'!

Gotta love this girl!
