Thanksgiving break

So I am playing catch up as usual but I wanted to post these pictures we took during Thanksgiving Break at my parents house in Boise. After eating our delicious Thanksgiving dinner my mom made we went outside in my parents backyard and had my brother's girlfriend, Kara take some family pictures of us.

The way our family get-togethers usually go!

One of the nights we were there my parents watched Ella so that Chad and I could go out on a date a thing we haven't done by ourselves in a long time! We ended up just going bowling but it was a lot of fun to have some alone time.

Our game faces!

Chad was pretty excited to bowl!

Another one of the days we were there we went to a thing called the Festival of Trees where they had tons of Christmas trees each decorated differently. It was very pretty and Ella loved all the lights.

Overall we had a good time with our Lamb family for the break.

We're back!

After being away for about 3 weeks visiting both Chad's parents and my parents for the holidays we are finally back in our own place. Though it was so much fun to see everyone and get to spend time with them it's always nice to get back into the swing of things and to sleep in your own bed! It's funny how our bodies get used to something like your bed and nothing else can compare to it even though it may not be the best bed. Ya know what I mean?
Another great thing about being home is the fact that Ella is now sleeping a lot better. She has actually slept throughout the entire night from 8pm to about 7am 3 nights in a row...truly a miracle for her! I think that is one of the hardest things about leaving is that her schedule gets all thrown off and she's not used to sleeping in her little portable crib and we have in her in the same room as us so she wakes up like every couple of hours just wanting me to hold her! It was definitely rough being sleep deprived but it was worth it to get to see our families.

We went to Kemmerer, WY first and spent Christmas with them.

One of the days we were there with Chad's family we went tubing. It was a blast but we could only endure it so long due to the fact that we had to climb up the huge steep hill each time we went down.

In the car on the ride over.

Me and Didi, Chad's sister.

Me and the chadder-bud.

While we were there Chad's dad was called into work earlier than we had expected so unfortunately he was going to miss Christmas. In order to get the most out of the little time we had left with him we had our own "Christmas" a few days earlier so that we could have it with him.

Christmas morning getting excited to open our gifts.

Grandma and Ella in the early morning.

My excited Christmas face!

Grandpa Don being Santa and handing out all the gifts.

Dallon's super excited face!

Jason and Didi looking bright and cheery at that early hour.

Another night we went out caroling to some of the Henkel's friends and so we bundled Ella up and at first she wasn't too happy about it.

Isn't that just the saddest face you've ever seen?

Then she became a little more happy as she got used to being all bundled up.

On our way out the door to go out in the freezing cold to go caroling.

One of our Christmas presents we got from Don were these matching sweatshirts that had our names on the back of them. They were so cool and such a thoughtful gift as he had to fund raise to get each one of them.

Chadder doing his really serious face.

Ella and her Uncle Dallon

She was having a good time with him doing her scunchy face smile.

Grandma Gigi and Ella on Christmas day.

Next we went to Boise to visit my family and we had our 2nd Christmas with the Lamb family.

Ella in her new Christmas beanie and gloves with her Uncle Tyler.

When we put the clothes on her she kept doing this hilarious tongue thing where she would curl her upper lip under and stick out her tongue. She is always being such a little performer.

Ella and I posing next the the Christmas tree as she was eating one of the ornaments.

When we helped Ella unwrap her baby cell phone she was obviously pretty awestruck with excitement!

Ella has started this new thing with certain people where she bites on people's noses. It is so hilarious when she does it! As you can see she took a particular liking to Tyler's nose while we were there.

Ella and daddy on Sunday after church.

Overall we had such a blast with our families and were glad to have been able to get to spend time with both of them for the holidays!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It's been getting very cold here in Rexburg! Which is not surprising due to the fact that it's practically the arctic tundra here year round! The first time Ella saw snow she just stared and stared in awe and probably some confusion.

These pictures are from one of the days that my friend Kelsey Crowder and I took our girls on a walk and got them all bundled up. It was pretty funny to see them in their little snowsuits unable to move around very well...just like the Christmas Story movie!

Ella's suit is still pretty big on her...supposedly it is for 6-9 months old but it looks like it will last little Ella bear a lot longer than that!

They both look a little dazed in this one, maybe they were just a bit too warm! :)

The following pictures were from earlier in the day before we went on our walk.

Our smiley little Ella Bear!

Sittin' pretty.

Little Buddies! Ella had lots of fun playing with her friend Kamryn! She loves seeing other little babies, she gets really excited and does her "really excited pant" (which resembles the sound you would make to pant like a dog...Chad taught her this skill and now every time Ella gets really excited she does it! It's quite funny).

Cutest little bunny and bear I've ever seen!

Ella and Kamryn always steal each other's binkies every time they get together...i guess they think the grass is greener on the other side!

Success! Ella was able to snatch Kami's binki and then she tried gettin' it into her mouth as fast as possible before Kami got it back from her! Little sillies!

Ella girl!

First encounter with cats!

We went over to Diana and Jason's house and they had gotten two new little kittens and Ella ended up loving them!

At first she wasn't quite sure what to think of them....

But after a second she was all over them!

We had to keep pullin her hands off them... she doesn't really understand how to be"soft" quite yet. She was so cute though, she would just light up every time we brought them near her.

Ella loves playing with Auntie Diana.

She has pretty good time with her Uncle Jason too!

Crackin up at the kittens.

Ella had a great time visiting her Aunt and Uncle!
