Gettin so BIG!

Ella is getting so big these days...she's crawling EVERYWHERE and getting into EVERYTHING! Nothing is safe with Ella around.

She is so funny and becoming so independent about certain things. Like for example eating...she pretty much will not allow me to feed her any baby food anymore. She wants what we are eating and wants to put it in her mouth herself. A few weeks ago I was trying to feed her the ground up baby food style green beans and each time I would put a scoop full into her mouth she would push it out with her tongue into her hand and then put it back into her mouth HERSELF. After awhile of this I got out a can of cut green beans and gave them to her and she whoofed them down! She loved being able to do it all herself...so now a days I'm constantly on the hunt for finger foods for her to eat. Most of the time all she really wants to eat is fruit or anything in the in the bread group... vegetables are no longer very easy to get her to eat.
Another new development with Ella is her two new teeth that came through not too long ago!

Standin' pretty!

Taking a break.

Her favorite place to crawl to...
the entertainment center, so that she can push all the buttons!

Looking back at me cause she know she is doing something she shouldn't.

Being mischievous as usual!

Before the Christmas break...

Before the break we had Hayley and Kam Redder over for some festive fun making ginger bread houses and then for another night we decorated Christmas sugar cookies.

Quite architecturally sound eh?

After about a minute of being done with them Chad was a little hungry I guess and decided to take a huge bite out of the top of our house.

At first I was a little disappointed because I wanted to have it around a little longer than a couple minutes but....

who could stay mad at that face!

Friends again!

Our friends Hayley and Kam

We always have good time when we're with the Redders!

Our favorite cookies we decorated!

We also had a white elephant gift exchange as well which was a blast!

and Ella loved the reindeer antlers she got!

Thanksgiving break

So I am playing catch up as usual but I wanted to post these pictures we took during Thanksgiving Break at my parents house in Boise. After eating our delicious Thanksgiving dinner my mom made we went outside in my parents backyard and had my brother's girlfriend, Kara take some family pictures of us.

The way our family get-togethers usually go!

One of the nights we were there my parents watched Ella so that Chad and I could go out on a date a thing we haven't done by ourselves in a long time! We ended up just going bowling but it was a lot of fun to have some alone time.

Our game faces!

Chad was pretty excited to bowl!

Another one of the days we were there we went to a thing called the Festival of Trees where they had tons of Christmas trees each decorated differently. It was very pretty and Ella loved all the lights.

Overall we had a good time with our Lamb family for the break.

We're back!

After being away for about 3 weeks visiting both Chad's parents and my parents for the holidays we are finally back in our own place. Though it was so much fun to see everyone and get to spend time with them it's always nice to get back into the swing of things and to sleep in your own bed! It's funny how our bodies get used to something like your bed and nothing else can compare to it even though it may not be the best bed. Ya know what I mean?
Another great thing about being home is the fact that Ella is now sleeping a lot better. She has actually slept throughout the entire night from 8pm to about 7am 3 nights in a row...truly a miracle for her! I think that is one of the hardest things about leaving is that her schedule gets all thrown off and she's not used to sleeping in her little portable crib and we have in her in the same room as us so she wakes up like every couple of hours just wanting me to hold her! It was definitely rough being sleep deprived but it was worth it to get to see our families.

We went to Kemmerer, WY first and spent Christmas with them.

One of the days we were there with Chad's family we went tubing. It was a blast but we could only endure it so long due to the fact that we had to climb up the huge steep hill each time we went down.

In the car on the ride over.

Me and Didi, Chad's sister.

Me and the chadder-bud.

While we were there Chad's dad was called into work earlier than we had expected so unfortunately he was going to miss Christmas. In order to get the most out of the little time we had left with him we had our own "Christmas" a few days earlier so that we could have it with him.

Christmas morning getting excited to open our gifts.

Grandma and Ella in the early morning.

My excited Christmas face!

Grandpa Don being Santa and handing out all the gifts.

Dallon's super excited face!

Jason and Didi looking bright and cheery at that early hour.

Another night we went out caroling to some of the Henkel's friends and so we bundled Ella up and at first she wasn't too happy about it.

Isn't that just the saddest face you've ever seen?

Then she became a little more happy as she got used to being all bundled up.

On our way out the door to go out in the freezing cold to go caroling.

One of our Christmas presents we got from Don were these matching sweatshirts that had our names on the back of them. They were so cool and such a thoughtful gift as he had to fund raise to get each one of them.

Chadder doing his really serious face.

Ella and her Uncle Dallon

She was having a good time with him doing her scunchy face smile.

Grandma Gigi and Ella on Christmas day.

Next we went to Boise to visit my family and we had our 2nd Christmas with the Lamb family.

Ella in her new Christmas beanie and gloves with her Uncle Tyler.

When we put the clothes on her she kept doing this hilarious tongue thing where she would curl her upper lip under and stick out her tongue. She is always being such a little performer.

Ella and I posing next the the Christmas tree as she was eating one of the ornaments.

When we helped Ella unwrap her baby cell phone she was obviously pretty awestruck with excitement!

Ella has started this new thing with certain people where she bites on people's noses. It is so hilarious when she does it! As you can see she took a particular liking to Tyler's nose while we were there.

Overall we had such a blast with our families and were glad to have been able to get to spend time with both of them for the holidays!
